Passionate about helping build schools as robust institutions, Abdul Haseeb joined City School’s School Improvement and Quality Assurance (SIQA) department in Karachi. Responsible for the Quality Assurance process of 12 different campuses, he delved deep into the evaluation frameworks of UK’s OFSTED, UAE’s KHDA and the Pakistani standards.
In 2022, he collaborated with Ustaaz to develop initiatives which could institutionalize the Whole-School-Approach. Building on international frameworks and the Pakistani Minimum Standards for Quality Education (MSQE), Abdul Haseeb devised a framework which would serve the needs of mainstream, faith-driven and Inclusive schools.
The framework is elaborately structured around performance standards, elements, indicators and descriptors. The Performance Standards pertain to:
- Teaching-Learning Procedures
- Curriculum
- Assessment
- Learners’ Achievements
- Holistic Students’ Development
- School Leadership and Management
- School Community Engagement.
It lays strong emphasis on academic supervision, interdisciplinary learning, intellectual development, character education, inclusive education and meaningful integration of educational technology.
In 2024, Edwise plans to launch its inaugural Educational Leadership Program. The program targets School Principals and Academic Leadership of K-12 schools and non profit educational organizations.
Each year the program will have a theme. The program for Year 2024 is titled “From Management to Impact: Re-Imagining Educational Leadership”. Potential themes for the subsequent years include:
- Leadership for Inclusive Educational Settings,
- Organizational Agility and Innovation in Education
- Educational Policies for Educational Leadership
- Leadership for Faith-Based Organizations.
